Join us for the FIRST EVER event! 〰️

Join us on April 28th, 2024, at Lake Walk in Bryan, TX, for the first-ever Walk of the Century: 5K Against Cancer. This event is a unique blend of competition, community, and cause. Participants can choose to run in a timed heat, with volunteers tracking top runners’ time and pace, or join the walkers' heat to show solidarity by walking for loved ones. The day promises a fusion of activities including a kid-friendly zone with a bouncy house and “Mini-K” run, live local music, pop-up thrift / small business vendors, and food trucks, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. It's more than just a race; it’s a celebration of resilience and community spirit, with every step taken highlighting the fight against cancer and directly supporting young lives impacted by a family member's diagnosis, through our partnership with Camp Kesem TAMU.

All proceeds go to the benefit of our philanthropy, Camp Kesem.

Where is it?

The 5K is set to take place at Lake Walk in Bryan, TX, a location that has truly stood out as a prime spot for community gatherings. Its stunning landscape, serene trails, and dynamic community atmosphere make it an exceptional setting for events of this nature. Conveniently located near beloved landmarks such as POV Coffee House and The Traditions Golf Club, Lake Walk enhances its charm as an ideal venue for supporting a great cause.

Who does the event benefit?

All of our proceeds are dedicated to supporting Kesem at Texas A&M University, a cause close to our hearts. Century Men's Society has been contributing significantly for years by serving as Camp Counselors and organizing fundraising events, ensuring the chapter can welcome children aged 6-18 to camp at no cost every summer. These camps provide a much-needed oasis for kids to escape the stress of a family member's cancer diagnosis, allowing them to enjoy summer with fun, friendship, and a return to normalcy. Our walk on April 28th symbolizes our commitment to fighting cancer and supporting the families and children who face its challenges head-on.
